It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
The Barbs in their new festive outfits all set to entertain the shoppers at The Oracle
By Theresa Matthews, Lead
Last Friday evening saw the Barbs at their first of many Christmas sing outs. All looking very glamorous in their new sparkly Christmas outfits. Although many a car seat was covered in glitter making them look very festive. But its not Christmas without some sparkle, and sparkle they did. What a treat for the late night shoppers in the Oracle.
Directed by the lovely Emma the shoppers were treated to our Christmas repertoire, with their Grease number “We go together” thrown in for good measure.
This year we have also been working hard learning two new Christmas songs, that got their first outing at the Oracle and they sounded amazing.
“The Boars Head”, which is a macaronic 15thCentury English Christmas carol, making it the oldest Christmas song they sing and” Mary Did you know”, from 1991, which is the most modern Christmas song in our Christmas repertoire. Both going down well with the shoppers in the Oracle. But don’t worry if you missed them, as they will be back at the Oracle on Wednesday 18th December.
Well, the Barbs are certainly in the Christmas mood now and are looking forward to entertaining at their next sing out in Wokingham on Monday 9th.
