My first sing out!

The evening of Thursday 6th December marked my first sing out with the Barbs since I joined back in September.

With a hugely busy work schedule and not being able to make any other sing outs before then, I was very excited to be able to partake in this one.

Being slightly nervous, I donned my sparkly red jacket and lipstick and headed to The Lord Raglan pub in Wokingham. Upon arrival and realising that the whole performance was being filmed, nerves grew, but the rest of the lovely chorus put my mind at ease with encouraging comments.

After a half an hour sing song with a few moves thrown in, I’d had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The comments from the rest of the ladies, congratulating me on completing my first sing out really confirmed my thoughts that I am now part of a super supportive group.

I can’t wait for our next sing out in a January and am very excited about learning a whole new repertoire of song that aren’t Christmas focused – although I do love a Christmas sing song!

I really couldn’t recommend a nicer, more supportive bunch of ladies to sing with. So, if you’re thinking of joining The Barbs like I did, I would greatly encourage it. You’ll have a ball, just like I did on Thursday.
